Terms and conditions
Last updated:
These terms apply when you buy and use tickets through TicketToken AS (Norway). By completing a purchase you accept these terms and the organizer's own terms for the event.
1. Who we are
TicketToken AS is a platform that brokers ticket sales between organizers and buyers. The organizer is responsible for the event itself, including its content, quality, delivery, age limits and any cancellation.
The organizer sets the ticket price and the number of tickets. Your rights and obligations are set out in these terms and in the organizer's terms.
2. Buying and paying
All prices are in Norwegian kroner. A service fee is shown clearly before you pay and itemised on your order confirmation.
Payments are processed by Nexi/NETS. TicketToken does not store your card details.
You must be at least 15 to buy tickets, though an organizer may set a higher age limit for its event. Organizers may also limit the number of tickets per buyer. Orders that break such limits may be cancelled and refunded.
3. Tickets are bound to a phone number
Tickets are bound to the attendee's mobile number, not to whoever happens to hold a QR code. You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code, and your tickets appear in "My tickets" and in the mobile app.
You are responsible for entering the correct mobile number. We send confirmations and codes by SMS (delivered by Twilio).
4. Ownership record on a blockchain
Ticket ownership is recorded on the Solana blockchain. The record contains no personal data and cannot be linked to you without information that only TicketToken holds.
5. Transfer and resale
You can transfer a ticket to another phone-number user, or list it for resale where the organizer allows it. Resale takes place through the TicketToken platform, and the organizer may set conditions such as a price cap.
We cannot guarantee tickets bought or sold outside the platform. TicketToken may block tickets if we suspect misuse or fraud.
6. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Tickets for events on a specific date are exempt from the right of withdrawal under section 22(m) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act. You therefore normally cannot cancel a purchase.
Refunds are handled under the organizer's refund policy and Norwegian consumer law. If an event is cancelled or materially changed, you have the rights the law provides. The service fee is generally not refunded unless the law requires it or the error is ours.
If a technical fault on our side prevents you from getting your ticket, we will try to refund your payment.
7. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing correct contact details, paying on time and keeping access to your phone number. You may not:
- copy, modify or reverse-engineer the platform or its content
- try to bypass security measures, purchase limits or queue rules
- use automated tools to buy tickets
- resell or distribute the platform other than as permitted
8. Warranties and limitation of liability
TicketToken provides the service with reasonable skill and care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are liable for direct loss caused by intent or gross negligence, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid, to the extent the law allows. This limitation does not affect your mandatory consumer rights.
9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its date. Changes do not apply to purchases already completed.
11. Disputes and governing law
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. If something goes wrong, first contact the organizer and us so we can find a solution. If we cannot agree, you may take the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Council or Consumer Authority, or to the ordinary courts.
